ANNOUNCEMENTS

The CenturyLink Foundation has partnered with Arizona Technology in Education Association (AzTEA) since 2006, to implement the CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation’s Teachers and Technology grant program in Arizona.

 The application process will be open from October 1, 2014 through January 2, 2015.  Any full time PreK-12 educator that is located in CenturyLink service areas is invited to apply for up to $5,000 through this competitive grant process. The program is a unique opportunity to improve student achievement through the use of today’s technology.

AzTEA members can participate in webinars for FREE!

AzTEA and ASU's Learning Forever have partnered to provide a webinar series with a focus on technology integration for every classroom. The next webinar will take place on March 4th, and there will be one each month through May.  All Tech Tuesdays presentations are from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Earn one clock hour for participation in the live webinar, and then expand your learning experience through a fun follow-up activity.  All webinars are FREE of charge and AzTEA members can also participate in the optional follow up activities for FREE!

The annual conference of the Arizona Science Teachers Association, Let's Build Science! will be  held on November 7-8, 2014 at NAU Phoenix Campus, 15451 N. 28th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85053. Over 300 science educators will share ideas and work together to advocate research-based science teaching and learning for all of Arizona's children. Attendees have over 50 one-hour and three-hour workshops to choose from a focus strand:

·        STEM:  Integration and Innovation
·        Putting Science Standards Into Action
·        Effective Leadership
