Communication Committee
The Communication Committee is responsible for developing and implementing all external communication with members and the community at large through email, newsletters, social media, & the AzTEA website.

Finance Committee
The role of the finance committee is primarily to provide financial oversight for the organization. Typical task areas include budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting, and the creation and monitoring of internal controls and accountability policies.

Governance
Governance Committee
The governance committee’s main role is to recruit new board members and to ensure that each board member is equipped with the proper tools and motivation to carry out his or her responsibilities. The committee is responsible for reviewing AzTEA’s policies and recommending revisions; record policies as the Board votes them, and prepare bylaw change proposals for presentation to the membership at the Annual Meeting prior to voting.

Membership Committee
The Membership committee is responsible for increasing and maintaining memberships, sponsorships, and partnerships of the organization. The committee develops and promotes marketing strategies that have been approved by the board.

Awards Committee
The Awards committee recognizes outstanding educators or community members who have made a significant contribution to the field of education and technology through Innovation and Making IT Happen awards. Members review and make recommendations to the Board for recipient(s) under the guidance of the committee chair.

Professional Learning
Professional Learning Committee
The professional learning committee organizes and develops professional development opportunities throughout the school year and across the State of Arizona. Some of their work includes the AZTEA’s annual Fall conference as well as the Spring CI & IT Symposium.
